Partner with SOVCI
Schools, companies, faith groups and Lagos State University students can work with SOVCI to reach more orphans and vulnerable children in Ojo.

Why partner with SOVCI?
Smiles for Orphans and Vulnerable Children Initiative (SOVCI) is a registered NGO in Ojo, Lagos (Corporate Affairs Commission, No. 165554). Building networks is part of how it works: SOVCI joins forces with other organisations so that support reaches more orphans and vulnerable children. Its founder has called on government and companies to do more to secure a happy future for these children (BusinessDay, June 2023 (opens in a new tab)).
Lagos State University and students
Much of SOVCI’s work has taken place at Lagos State University (LASU) in Ojo. On the International Day of Education 2024, SOVCI worked with the LASU Faculty of Education to give school kits to pupils of public primary and secondary schools in Iba LCDA (PM News, January 2024 (opens in a new tab)). Children’s Day was held at the Julius Berger Hall of the Faculty of Management Science in 2023 and at the Students’ Arcade in 2024, and the World Orphans Day concert was announced for Makanjuola Hall in 2025. Faculties, departments and student groups who would like to work with SOVCI are welcome to get in touch.
Schools
Children from orphanage homes and schools around Ijeododo and Ojo took part in SOVCI’s Children’s Day in 2023, and public schools in Iba LCDA received school kits in 2024 through the Streets to School project, which helps out-of-school children enrol and keeps pupils from poor homes in class.
Companies and organisations
According to the organisers, SOVCI’s 2023 Children’s Day was supported by companies including Nestle Nigeria Plc, Arla Foods, Cubas International, Topfingers Group, TSKM Consults, Micro International, the Bible Society of Nigeria and E-Mention Group, as well as individuals (BusinessDay, June 2023 (opens in a new tab)). Companies and foundations can talk to SOVCI about supporting events, outreaches to orphanage homes and school kits.
